MONOCHROME: THE CHROMISM IS A INDEPENDENT SCI-FI FILM CASTED AND FILMED LOCALLY IN TEXAS
Dallas, TX April 2, 2018 – Local filmmakers, Kodi Zene (Writer/Director) and Lozen Fükem (Producer), will be premiering a sneak peak of the trailer for their anticipated independent sci-fi film, MONOCHROME: THE CHROMISM, at the Fan Expo Dallas April 6-8.
MONOCHROME: THE CHROMISM, is scheduled to be released in 2019 after going through the film festival circuit. MONOCHROME is a black and white dystopian film where the world sees color for the first time. Those who turn color are labeled “Hues” and are outcast from society. THE CHROMISM is the first feature film and origin story of the world of MONOCHROME. The film follows Isaac Ward (the first Hue) and his struggle to make sense of these new developments and his struggle to survive. Future sequels are already planned. There is also a limited edition comic book that will be available exclusively at the expo.
“Other than being entertaining, my hope is that this “world” of MONOCHROME strikes a chord inside us all. We need messages of equality today more than ever. Yes, each of us is different, we are all original, but yet we are all the same. And we can all do some- thing about it.” – Kodi Zene (Writer/Director)
The film was filmed locally in Texas and, sticking with the theme of the film, includes all local actors with diverse race, sexual preference and religious backgrounds,
“The set was so full of chemistry and acceptance of one another,” says Lozen.
The concept teaser, which was previously released, won 8 awards, including ‘Best Trailer’ at The New York Science Film Festival. The film was also one of five chosen to be pitched to A & E executives for a new series.
MONOCHROME will be at booth 919 at the Fan Expo Dallas at the Dallas Convention Center April 6-8. Tickets can be purchased on their website at www.fanexpodallas.- com. MONOCHROME’s website is www.MonochromeMovie.com.
